Lawrence F. Davidson writes songs inspired by history, community, memories, people, and the places that connect them.

His music grew from a lifelong interest in the stories of people and communities, and from a desire to preserve those stories in a form that can be remembered and shared.

His first collection, River Songs and Steamboat Tales, draws upon the history and communities of Washington's Cowlitz River Valley and the era when steamboats connected settlements along the river.

His developing collection, Small Town Dreams, turns toward the experiences, traditions, memories, and everyday stories of small-town life.
